The Lehigh Acres Renaissance Project (LARP) came about, as a solution to some of the great challenges the community is facing as a result of the declining housing market. What was once a growing community with families purchasing homes almost daily is now faced with drastic  numbers of foreclosures and as a result  suffering business’ that were hoping to experience financial success that comes with a thriving community.

I believe that despite the present challenges this community faces today; opportunity is waiting just a little ways down the road.

LARP is meant to be a call to action. The word Renaissance, which comes from the French word “rebirth”, can help this community move in a forward direction.  This community is rich with diversity, has a lot of open space and a lot of buildings and homes just waiting for new owners.  Lehigh Acres sits surrounded by communities such as Naples, Bonita, Fort Myers, and Cape Coral that have established tourism in season while Immokalee has the Seminole Casino and spring training for both the Minnesota Twins and the Red Sox all happen here in SW Florida..

I see its potential, a cultural Mecca, a center for all artistic interest. Why not Lehigh Acres?  

Artists are struggling in many areas where the prices of homes are more expensive. Here then can help create a thriving community along with its present residents and business owners. This area allows them to work all year round, outdoors or to work here seasonally creating for them selves a retreat…purchasing homes and work space or renting from investors offering long-term leases.
